If you're having trouble with Publisher files, Microsoft would be the best place to find your answers. However, you mention InDesign--are you having trouble opening InDesign files as well?
I'll move your post to the InDesign forum to see if somebody there can help. But, I would suggest that you also check Microsoft's website if the error is specifically with Publisher files...
