Fonts won't appear in PS.

I  have downloaded fonts that are active and working well in my Mac FontsBook, but I can't access in Photoshop. They appear in Word, but won't be acknowledge by Photoshop, even when I copy and paste them over. Any ideas? Thanks so much!
